About these terms
These terms apply when you use welfordstores.com and when you buy from us. Welford Stores operates this website. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
Using this website
You may browse and buy from this website for your own personal use. You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, and not to interfere with its normal operation.
Our products
We sell toys for dogs, cats and small pets. Product images are provided to show what an item looks like and what it does. We describe the size, material and contents of each item on its product page.
No pet toy is indestructible. Please choose a size suitable for your pet, supervise your pet while they play, and stop using any toy once it becomes damaged. We are not able to accept responsibility for harm caused by a toy that has been used unsupervised, used by a pet it was not intended for, or used after it was damaged.
Product availability
All items are subject to availability. If an item you have ordered is unavailable, we will contact you and offer you a replacement or a full refund. We may withdraw or change items on this website at any time.
Prices
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Prices may change, but a change will never affect an order you have already placed and we have accepted.
The total you pay is shown to you at checkout before you confirm your order, including any taxes that apply. UK delivery is free.
We take care to price everything correctly. If we discover an obvious pricing error in an order we have not yet dispatched, we will contact you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling the order for a full refund. We will not simply charge you the difference.
Placing an order
When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed, when we email you to confirm that it has been dispatched. If we cannot accept your order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
Payment
Payment is taken when you place your order. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout — please use the checkout page as the definitive list.
Payments are processed by our third-party payment providers through Shopify's secure checkout. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Your billing details must be accurate and must match the payment method you use. If a payment fails or is declined, your order will not be processed. If you believe you have been charged twice, contact us and we will investigate and refund any duplicate payment.
We may cancel and refund an order if it is flagged in a fraud review. If that happens we will tell you.
Delivery and returns
Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy and returns by our Refund Policy. Both form part of these terms.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, product descriptions, photographs, logos and designs — belongs to Welford Stores or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or use it commercially without our written permission.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud.
Where our liability is not excluded by law, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, carrier strikes or utility failures. If such an event occurs we will contact you and either extend the delivery estimate or, if you prefer, cancel your order and refund you in full.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought before the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
