This policy explains what personal information Welford Stores collects when you visit welfordstores.com or place an order, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the United Kingdom customers we sell to.

- Payment details — handled directly by Shopify's checkout and our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Account information — if you create an account, your login email and order history.
- Device and usage information — your IP address, browser type, and how you use the site, collected automatically through cookies and Shopify's built-in analytics.
- Communications — anything you send us by email or the contact form, including order numbers and photographs you attach.
How we use your information
We use your information to take and fulfil your order, deliver it, process returns and refunds, answer your questions, and keep our records for accounting and legal purposes. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
How we share your information
We share information with the third parties that are necessary to run the store: Shopify (our e-commerce platform and checkout), our payment provider, and the courier that delivers your order. Each of these processes your information under their own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work — keeping items in your cart and letting you check out — and Shopify's built-in analytics cookies, which tell us in aggregate how the store is used. We do not currently run third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. If that changes, we will update this section and add a cookie consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: tell you what personal information we hold about you; correct it if it's wrong; delete it; or provide a copy in a portable format. How long we keep your information
We keep order and payment records for as long as UK tax law requires. Account information is kept while your account is active; you can ask us to delete it at any time, subject to what we must keep for legal reasons.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
